How the site behaves today
- Now Uploading media records a dated acknowledgement that you hold the rights to it.
- Now A removal request for an image can be sent through the request form without an account.
- Planned A formal infringement-notice process, a designated agent, a counter-notice route, and a repeat-infringer policy.
Still to be decided
Shown here rather than hidden in a backlog — these are the open questions this page cannot answer yet.
- Whether to designate and register a DMCA agent. That is a jurisdiction-specific step with a filing fee.
- The counter-notice procedure and the repeat-infringer threshold.
- Whether likeness and publicity requests are handled here or in the claims and removal policy. They currently point at two different places.
