Privacy Policy
Not yet published — a description of current behaviour, not a policy.
The final wording of this policy has not been published. What follows describes how the site works today, so the page is useful in the meantime. It is not a legal document and creates no obligation on either side.
If something here affects you, send us a request — no account needed — or email hello@wrestlelink.com.
How the site behaves today
- Now No IP address is stored anywhere. The analytics table has no column for one.
- Now IWE's own analytics set no cookies at all.
- Now No Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or other third-party tracker is loaded on this site today.
- Now Private contact details - admin contact names, emails and phone numbers - are held in separate tables that ordinary visitors cannot read.
- Now Account deletion is requested in Settings, waits out a 7-day cooling-off period, and is then carried out by an administrator.
- Now Deleting an account removes your follows, notifications, memberships, uploaded media and claim evidence - including the files themselves - and detaches your analytics history.
- Now Videos embedded on profile pages are served by YouTube or Vimeo, which receive your IP address and may set their own cookies when a page containing one loads.
- Planned A stated retention period for analytics and operational records. None is enforced today.
- Planned A published list of the third-party services that process data on our behalf.
Still to be decided
Shown here rather than hidden in a backlog — these are the open questions this page cannot answer yet.
- Whether to state that personal information is never sold. That is a commitment rather than an observable behaviour, so it cannot be asserted here without the owner's word.
- The retention period for analytics events. A 180-day policy and a bounded prune function already exist but are deliberately not scheduled, because enabling them deletes history.
- The retention period for correction and removal requests, which themselves contain a name, an email address and free text.
- Whether the site's audience or operating region brings it within a specific privacy regime. That is a legal determination and is not made here.
- The response time to commit to for data requests.
- Whether to publish the list of processors.
